WebArena (complex web navigation): >300% improvement over baselines. This is the first approach to make reinforcement learning viable in this environment.

WebShop and ALFWorld: Matched 80,000 real interactions using zero real interactions during training.

Sim-to-real transfer: +40-64% performance improvement when fine-tuning on real environments using less than 10% of typical data requirements.

Minecraft (via Dreamer 4): First agent to obtain diamonds from offline data only, using 100× less data than previous methods.

The pattern is consistent: 90% reduction in real-world data needs while maintaining or exceeding baseline performance.

Why This Unlocks Embodied AI at Scale

Robotics: Train dangerous or expensive behaviors synthetically, transfer to reality with minimal real-world fine-tuning. Your robot can practice failing thousands of times in simulation before ever touching a real object.

Autonomous vehicles: Synthetically generate rare edge cases (accidents, extreme weather, unusual road conditions) that would be dangerous and expensive to collect in reality.

Synthetic experience isn't perfect. It can drift from reality in long rollouts. It requires some real data to ground the world model. And transferring to reality still requires careful fine-tuning.
